About Gainesville

downtown-gainesville-1

Gainesville is a mid-sized town home to 120,000 residents and the University of Florida, the nation’s 9th largest university and Florida’s flagship public university. In addition to UF’s beautiful campus, Gainesville boasts a vibrant downtown (with a bustling farmer’s market on Wednesdays) as well as numerous natural wonders such as Payne’s Prairie State Preserve and the Devil’s Milhopper geological state park. Enchanting freshwater springs are just a short drive away. Gainesville is also home to the Hippodrome State Theatre, Florida’s Natural History Museum, and Harn Museum of Art.
